Culture Passes
Mechanicsburg Public Library is excited to partner with the Columbus Museum of Art to offer Culture Passes to our library cardholders! The America-250 Ohio Commission has announced the 4th Grade History Pass – a free pass for every fourth-grade student in Ohio to visit participating history-related museums and sites free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Passes are not available for pickup at the Library, but may be printed from our public computers.

Kanopy
Using your Mechanicsburg Public Library card, you can now access Kanopy. With an extensive collection of narrative and documentary films, as well as TV series and kids content, we’re pleased to bring this streaming service to our community. Go to www.kanopy.com/mechanicsburg to get started today. Patrons will receive 15 tickets per month. Checking out items can range from 1-5 tickets, depending on length of running time. The viewing period is 3-21 days, depending on length of running time. Kids content does not require tickets; checking out a 30 day pass will let you access all kids content. New Memory Kits

Mechanicsburg Public Library recently purchased thirteen memory kits thanks to a generous grant from the Champaign County Memorial Foundation. These kits are able to be checked out and used for reminiscence therapy by people with dementia or Alzheimer’s. The themed kits include a DVD and photo activity cards.

Access more than 12,000 video courses taught by industry experts to help you stay ahead in your current job or change careers. LinkedIn Learning is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android.

Story Walk

Enjoy our Story Walk, located at Goshen Park. The current story is "Seed by Seed: The Legend and Legacy of John "Appleseed" Chapman" by Esme Raji Codell. What is a Story Walk? The Mechanicsburg Public Library StoryWalk® is a delightful, innovative way for children — and adults — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.

Writing Kits

Writing Kits Cursive Writing: upper/lowercase letters, with similar strokes grouped together. Printing: Alphabet, Days of the Week and Months, Money and Numbers, Family. Two kits may be checked out at a time for two weeks.

Rokus

Through Roku Express 4K+ devices, patrons can access streaming content from both free and premium streaming services. Each Roku Express 4K+ device will have access to one of the following premium subscription services: Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+. Rokus are also equipped with several free apps, including Hoopla, YouTube, and apps with children’s content.
